This year I have a rather lofty ambition. To complete two books. One in the first half, the second during the festive season.

“The Depth of Darkness” is fleshed out, and almost ready for me to begin writing on. It simply needs diligence to get done. Writing Sci-Fi is something entirely new to me and it will be interesting to see how well that works out. Some of the sample chapters I’ve sent out have had some good commentary and feedback with only little adjusting needed, but I think the colloquial nature of writing Sci-Fi makes it easier to keep a pace and rhythm going chapter-to-chapter.

“The Keystone“, the second book in my trilogy that started with The Rune also simply needs writing. When I completed The Rune, I had enough material to finished all three books. But editing takes quite a bit out of someone and I simply didn’t have the energy to edit “The Rune” and still write “The Keystone“.

“The Rune” is gaining traction, quite a few samples have been downloaded and its rapidly distributing to the various e-Reader shelves. I hope this is the beginning of a long writing career for me.

My unrelated ambition this year is to bowl all local tournaments, I have the missing piece of my bowling equipment arriving in a few weeks and that should allow me to be more competitive on these varying conditions we have here in South Africa. Although it could still end up being me thats the problem with my bowling.
